Marching Band Enrollment

District-wide, all incoming Freshman band students must complete a placement audition to join Marching Band.

At Olathe West, our Marching Band audition requirement will be held in the form of a "Marching Band Interview Night". This laid-back evening will feature a Meet & Greet with your directors, a Help Session with current OWHS band students, a Parent Meeting, and a quick interview between incoming Freshmen and Ms. Lowman & Mr. Wickersham. 

Students interested in playing percussion in Marching Band will have a slightly different procedure. We offer 3 Pre-Audition Clinics to help students prepare the music, work with current OW students, and decide which instrument to pursue.
